Tax Rates: A 7% sales tax and a 3% occupancy tax will be charged to each rental on the rent amount. A 10% state tax is charged on housekeeping, trash pick-up, pet deposit (if applicable), and reservation fee.
"BYOB" - We are located in a 'dry' county and the nearest public liquor and wine shops are in Highlands, approximately 12 miles away. There are some 'private clubs' (which you can easily and relatively inexpensively join) that serve beer and wine and sell bottles or cases of alcoholic beverages to take home. In many of the nearby restaurants, if you wish to have wine with your meal, you can "brown bag" your own wine and pay a modest "corkage fee". Zoeller's Hardware on Highway 107 and many of the other shops in Cashiers and Highlands have a selection of elegant and practical wine carriers, should you need one.

No Pets Allowed: Some small dogs may be permitted, pending pre-approval of Angelhouse LLC and the owner, payment of a nonrefundable $100 (per dog) fee, copies of the dog's current vaccination and flea medication record signed and dated by a Veterinarian (30 days prior to check-in) and the observance of local leash laws and community regulations . More information is available by calling 828-526-3704 and is included in your application and policy documents. Failure to comply with the rules and policies will result in early termination without refund of rent or security deposit.
NO SMOKING: Failure to comply will result in a substanial cleaning fee automatically charged to your credit card on file.
Recreational Vehicles: This home is in a restricted area. Recreational, camping and ATV vehicles are prohibited.
Watercraft: Motorized watercraft are not allowed on Laurel Lake. A canoe is provided for use by Guests at their discretion and liability. Owner and Angelhouse LLC are not responsible for Guest(s) or invitees safety when using the canoe.
Home for Sale: This home is currently for sale. Prospective buyers and their agents may view the home by appointment only and only after advance notification is provided to the Guests. Ever possible consideration will be taken to avoid any disruption of our guests' stay. Information regarding the purchase of the home is available at the bottom of the Home page.
Guests Responsibility: Guest shall be solely responsible for any property, damage, loss or theft from the premises during Guests occupancy including loss of money, jewelry and other items of personal property of Guests or their invitees and any accident or bodily injury suffered or incurred by any person resulting from the use or occupancy of the premises or items of personal property and any recreational activities and will hold Owner, Angelhouse LLC, their agents or rental associates, harmless with respect thereto.
